(RightWing.org) – There is an old adage that may date back to the ancient Chinese military genius Sun Tzu that has been paraphrased many times over the years, the gist of which is “Generals prepare to fight the last war that they won, not the next one that they will face.” The prevailing wisdom was that the 2024 presidential election was going to be a rematch from four years ago, but after President Joe Biden announced that he had been deposed by the Democratic Party’s elite overseers, that possibility was at an end.
Ready to Pivot
It seems that the people in charge of former President Donald Trump’s reelection bid were aware of the old saying and decided that it would be prudent to heed its meaning. Liberal lawmakers and pundits began clamoring for Biden to end his campaign in the aftermath of the now infamous debate, even as POTUS and Vice President Kamala Harris defiantly told voters — even more importantly potential donors — that their team was in it to win it.
After all, said the Biden/Harris campaign, all the people who went to the polls and caucuses in the primary season overwhelmingly supported a second term for the octogenarian. However, the Trump campaign apparently saw the writing on the wall BEFORE the debate ever took place, as evidenced by this clairvoyant ad that they ran during the event.
Once Biden was kicked to the curb by the group of insurrectionists within the Democratic Party led by former President Barack Obama, leaders within the Trump campaign quickly let the MAGA faithful know that they were prepared. The group’s pollster, Tony Fabrizio, sent out a memo regarding “The Harris Honeymoon” predicting that the woman the MSM and Liberal politicians are (perhaps prematurely) referring to as the “presumptive candidate” will see an initial rise in her polling numbers.
Fabrizio let Republicans know that what is going to happen is somewhat of a self-fulfilling prophecy. As the Leftist press corps collectively sing Harris’s praises and assure the Democrat masses that she will beat Trump, her record going back to her time as a District Attorney in San Francisco will reassert itself and bring her down. Senior Advisors to the once and possibly future president, Susie Wiles (who POLITICO deemed “the most feared”) and Chris LaCivita issued a joint statement to reassure the Conservative voter base that the situation is under control.
The duo’s message referenced back to Trump’s popular reality TV show “The Apprentice” tagline saying “Joe Biden was fired” by their candidate on the debate stage. They detailed the lawfare waged by the Liberal regime against him and reminded America that “Border Czar Kamala Harris owns the border invasion” which has fueled the fentanyl and human trafficking epidemics not just in broad stroke policies but by her direct actions as DA and California’s Attorney General.
The tag-team memo labeled this “a new fight for American Independence [that will be fought] aggressively, in detail, and without quarter.” They evoked the image of Trump with his fist defiantly raised with an ear bloodied by a would-be assassin’s bullet and declared that he was the man to lead against the Left’s war on democracy.
