Thomas Crooks Identified As Trump Attacker

(RightWing.org) – The world watched in shock and then horror while former President Donald Trump slapped at his right ear, saw the hand covered in blood, and ducked behind his podium for cover as gunshots rang out at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania — a city of less than 15,000 people approximately 30 miles north of Pittsburgh. Members of the United States Secret Service (USSS) on and near the stage rushed to put their bodies between their charge and any other potential dangers which he likened to a swarm of NFL linebackers sacking an opponent’s quarterback.

The Shooter

Not long after the attempted assassination, federal authorities identified the lone gunman as Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, which is a southern suburb of Pittsburgh. The 20-year-old graduated high school in 2022 and earned an associate’s degree in engineering science from the Community College of Allegheny County “with high honours [sic],” according to the BBC.

It seems the general consensus of high school classmates of Crooks was one that crops up in most of these cases, that is was a loner who was frequently bullied, in part because he often wore hunting camouflage. A Secret Service counter-sniper team “neutralized” him with a single shot, but not before Trump and two others were wounded and Corey Comperatore, 50, was killed when he used his body to shield his wife and daughters who were with him.

As part of the investigation, law enforcement officials found more than a dozen guns in the Crooks’ home. At the time of publication, no known motive had been discovered.

The Reaction

President Joe Biden, other Democratic lawmakers, and their Leftist media shills have launched a campaign of fearmongering both within their own ranks and to the outside world. POTUS sent a letter to the Liberals in Congress defiantly refusing any calls for him to step aside and allow another to take his place in the election, citing things such as the defeat of Roe v. Wade and an anticipated attack on the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) as examples of the evil MAGA party.

In a telephone call with deep-pocketed donors before the July 13 assassination attempt, as first reported by POLITICO, Biden told them “It’s time to put Trump in a bullseye.” He has since tried to frame that as a “mistake” and has instead made one of his now signature bumbling speeches that violence has no part in the political discourse of the United States.

One can wish that his feeble attempt to walk back that statement after the shooting took place is sincere, but looking at the track record of the Leftists may just make that a forlorn hope. A survey by the Chicago Project on Security & Threats (CPOST) — ironically released on the same day as the horrifying events in Pennsylvania — found that 10% believe that the use of force would be justified to prevent from regaining the White House, while less than 7% said it would be okay to restore him to office.

What could be more concerning is the 22.6% who were ambivalent or essentially shrugged their shoulders and answered “meh.” Tensions are sure to be high in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where the Republican National Convention got underway on July 15. On opening day, Trump officially named Senator JD Vance (R-OH) as his running mate, which has only inflamed the vitriolic rhetoric spewing from the Left.
