(RightWing.org) – The Republican-led House Committee on Homeland Security recently issued a scathing report presenting some “hard truths” to the Biden administration regarding the rise of law-abiding Americans ruthlessly murdered by foreign nationals who entered the country illegally. Sadly, President Joe Biden either refuses or lacks the cognitive ability to revise his failed border policy. As a result, law enforcement officials recently arrested a repeat offending illegal migrant for murder.
On July 11, media outlets reported that at least one of three suspects arrested for the June 30 shooting death of a New Orleans tour guide is an illegal migrant. An unnamed official with the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency confirmed that Joshua Aviala-Bonifacio entered the country illegally.
The ICE spokesperson said Border Patrol agents encountered the 19-year-old Honduran national in early May 2019. They later determined that Aviala-Bonifacio was inadmissible under the Immigration and Nationality Act. Nevertheless, he gained entry into the US and was arrested “on multiple occasions” for contributing to the delinquency of minors and theft. The official related that the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office had booked the illegal migrant for five local criminal violations since February.
The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) recently issued a press release detailing the July 1 arrest of Aviala-Bonifacio and two other suspects, Jerben Albarec (17) and a 15-year-old. The NOPD identified all three as black males. The immigration status of the two juvenile suspects remains unclear since ICE doesn’t have purview over underaged individuals.
The suspects reportedly shot and killed 43-year-old Kristie Thibodeaux, a Bourbon Street travel guide, in her car at the end of June. On July 2, the Orleans Parish Coroner’s office ruled her death as a homicide resulting from a gunshot-related injury.
NOPD detectives quickly obtained arrest warrants for the three suspects, located, arrested, and booked them into the Orleans County Detention Center. The detainees face one count each of second-degree murder and attempted armed robbery.
