(RightWing.org) – Tech boss Elon Musk has revealed that he was “tricked” into allowing his son to take puberty blockers and launched a war on radical left-wing ideology. Slamming the “woke mind virus,” the billionaire pledged to destroy it. Musk, a former liberal, has been steadily swinging towards conservatism over the last few years.
On July 22, Musk, the 53-year-old South African-born owner of tech companies including SpaceX, Tesla, and X (formerly Twitter), spoke to Canadian psychologist Dr Jordan Peterson. During the interview, Peterson asked what Musk thought about sex change surgery for children. This is a touchy subject for Musk; in 2020 his son Xavier decided he was transgender and changed his name to Vivian.
At the time, Musk consented to giving his son puberty blockers. He told Peterson he was tricked into this because the doctors didn’t tell him the hormones were “actually just sterilization drugs.”
Musk went on to say doctors who give children so-called “gender-affirming care” — which he called a “terrible euphemism” — were “incredibly evil,” and agreed with Peterson’s suggestion they should be jailed. He also said his son “is dead, killed by the woke mind virus.” In 2022 Xavier/Vivian, who is now 20, told a California court he doesn’t want to be related to his father in any way.
In comments that might explain his recent political journey, Musk said that Xavier’s gender treatment made him aware of the dangers of wokery, and led to his vow to destroy it. Musk, who voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020, has now endorsed Donald Trump in this year’s presidential campaign. In 2022 the billionaire famously said his political views haven’t changed, but the left has become much more extreme, leaving him now right of center.
On July 16 he announced that the HQs of SpaceX and X will move from California to Texas, partly in protest at far-left Governor Gavin Newsom (D) signing a pro-trans law for California’s schools.
