Kamala Harris’s Policy Stances Exposed

(RightWing.org) – President Joe Biden announced his decision to cancel his bid for a second term on Sunday. Within hours, his vice president confirmed her intention to replace him as the Democratic Party’s standard bearer in November. However, media outlets have done a good job of exposing Kamala Harris’ radically progressive policy stances, drawing what many politicos think will be a fatal contrast to those of former President Donald Trump.

Business Insider, a centrist site with a slight lean toward the left, published a report detailing Harris’ position on the campaign’s key topics. While appearing to be a fairly neutral piece, the article painted a rather gloomy picture for a presidential candidate who has historically portrayed herself as a center-left politician.

In today’s political climate, some of the vice president’s beliefs could haunt her in November. For instance, pundits expect her to run as a “tough on crime” candidate by leaning heavily on her history as a prosecuting attorney and brief stint as California’s attorney general.

However, as a US Senator, she backed a measure that would decriminalize marijuana by removing it as a scheduled drug. She also supported a mandated federal review of police shootings — treading all over on local law enforcement officials’ rights.

Her failures on border security are too vast to cover in one report. Suffice it to say that Biden appointed her as his border czar shortly after he assumed office in 2021. The flood of migrants pouring across the border has provided ample proof of how that decision worked out for law-abiding Americans.

Harris remains deeply committed to policies that support the liberal agenda regarding climate change. She supports radical ideas like imposing a carbon tax and transitioning the United States to 100% renewable energy sources.

The vice president has consistently held similarly radical progressive positions on various other policies surrounding healthcare (rolled out a “Medicaid for All” plan as senator), abortion rights (spearheading the Biden administration’s pro-choice stance), taxing the rich (and handing out refundable tax credits), and a host of other hellscape ideas.
