DOJ Reveals It Has Transcripts From Biden Docs Case

(RightWing.org) – President Joe Biden promised an unheard-of level of transparency for his administration during his 2020 campaign, the part that he apparently forgot to mention was that it would end up being so opaque that it would be like trying to shine a candle through a brick wall. Under his watch, orders from the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) have been ignored, Democrats across the nation have engaged in lawfare against former President Donald Trump, and the Department of Justice (DOJ) has blatantly refused to submit itself to constitutionally mandated oversight by Congress on multiple occasions.

Tales Out of School

The most recently exposed example of the DOJ circling their wagons around Biden comes in the form of their stonewalling a federal court in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed by Conservative watchdog group the Heritage Foundation. The report presented by Special Counsel Robert Hur after his investigation into the president’s “mishandling highly classified information (as Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and other Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee phrased it),” specifically what he may have illegally disclosed to Mark Zwonitzer who is the ghostwriter for his memoirs.

Court records show that the Heritage Foundation sued “to compel the production of certain records relied upon by” the special counsel in the completion of his duties. Included in their initial filing were excerpts from the final report highlighting Hur’s conclusion that because of the high-level officials at meetings that Biden shared with Zwonitzer, the then-VP “should have realized that his notes did or were likely to contain classified information.

The DOJ dodged and ducked by bemoaning the burdensome task it would be to sift through all the information to produce the documents requested and denying that anything like that was in their possession.

Then, lo and behold, almost as if the lawyers there simply needed to press print on their computers, right after Biden announced he would not be seeking a second term in office, they filed a notice with the court saying that they had suddenly found the missing information. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) seemed to find it a near-miraculous coincidence of timing when he posted about it on X.

It was immediately after Hur declared what Biden should have known when he wrote the reason for his decision to recommend against criminal charges, that jurors would be unlikely to convict him because of “the diminished faculties and faulty memory he showed in Zwonitzer’s interview recordings” and his own questioning of him.

The Left has accused the special counsel of pandering to the Conservatives so that they could point to that during the election campaign; the Right has argued that the Liberals swayed him to avoid having the sitting POTUS facing charges that could be seen as treason.
