Did the CCP Have Access to Biden's Classified Documents?

(RightWing.org) – Without dropping a single bomb or killing a single soldier, some believe the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and its ruling body, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), are, nonetheless, engaged in a vicious war with the United States. It is this unconventional approach that has some Conservatives worried the Chinese may have gained access to the classified documents that seem to have been left haphazardly lying around by President Joe Biden.

How It’s Done

Confucius Institutes, and their successors, have been working on American college campuses for years, trying to steal and/or compromise much of the intellectual property developed there. Other intel avenues may have also netted access to classified materials. For example, Fang Fang (aka Christine Fang) allegedly set a series of honey traps to get close to several politicians, including Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA).

The Beijing Connection

After completing his two terms as vice president, Biden took a position with the University of Pennsylvania and established a Washington, DC-based think tank called the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement. It was here that his personal lawyers discovered papers with some of the highest level security designations of “sensitive compartmented information” in a locked closet in November 2022.

The PRC sent huge amounts of money to the university and to the Biden Center to the tune of tens of millions of dollars. The contributions have been questioned since before Biden announced his plan to run for president in 2018. At least $22 million of the total was listed as “anonymous,” and that is the focus of a complaint filed with the Department of Education by the watchdog group National Legal and Policy Center in May 2020.

On top of the financial donations is the real possibility that records kept at the center could have been accessed by visitors. According to Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, security at the center wasn’t tight, and event attendees were able to go in and out of just about any room — including ones where the classified documents were stored. Pompeo went on to say, “We need to know if there’s any risk they might have gotten ahold of them.”

The Penn Center Isn’t the Only Weak Spot

The flow of such a large amount of cash, along with the alleged influence peddling by the president’s son Hunter Biden — based on emails from his now-infamous laptop — have raised a lot of questions. The highly sensitive documents discovered at the think tank and the ones found at Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware, home are also becoming a concern. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) appeared on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures” and spoke of a specific email from Hunter to a fellow board member of the Burisma Ukrainian energy company that allegedly either implied access to classified documents or was a synopsis of an actual security briefing.

During Cruz’s conversation with host Maria Bartiromo, the point was made that the president’s lawyers have said that Biden also donated more than 1,850 boxes of documents and 415 GB of digital records to the University of Delaware from his time in the United States Senate. Cruz made clear he believes the FBI needs to access those materials, as well as make a search of “Hunter Biden’s homes, [SIC] home and office residences,” in order to make sure no classified information is scattered about.
