DNC Launches $15M Campaign for Swing State

(RightWing.org) – With the election less than four months away and President Joe Biden falling behind GOP challenger Donald Trump, the Democrats are getting nervous. The worst news of all is that Trump is ahead in all seven of the key swing states that will probably decide who the next president will be. In an attempt to turn things around, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has just launched a big new funding campaign.

On July 15, the DNC announced a plan to spend an extra $15 million on campaigning in seven vital states. The Wisconsin Democratic Party will get the largest share of it, almost $3 million. The latest polling, taken two days before Trump was the victim of an assassination attempt on July 13, showed him leading Biden by 5% in Wisconsin.

Nevada will get over $2 million, while Michigan and Pennsylvania will get nearly $2 million each. Smaller amounts between $1.5 million and just under $1 million will go to Georgia, North Carolina, and Arizona. Trump is currently leading Biden in all seven states.

Alarmed Liberals are planning to step up their campaign in swing states in an effort to turn the situation around.

The extra funding will go to open new field offices, carry out data collection, and boost the campaigns of struggling candidates. Announcing the funding, DNC chair Jaime Harrison said it was the “largest-ever investment” pumped into swing states, and confidently predicted the re-election of Biden and vice-president Kamala Harris.

The Republican Party doesn’t seem worried about their opponents’ funding boost, though. In a statement, Republican National Committee spokeswoman Anna Kelly said Biden’s campaign was “desperate to talk about anything but their cognitively impaired candidate,” bringing attention back to the president’s disastrous debate performance last month. She added that Trump will continue talking about real issues that matter to voters, and “end the chaos Biden has created.”
