Joe Biden Responds to Hunter’s Conviction

(RightWing.org) – Robert “Hunter” Biden has become a political football since just before the 2020 election between his father President Joe Biden and then-President Donald Trump. The Right has pointed to his now infamous laptop as evidence of his dad’s corruption going back to his time as vice president, while the Left has pulled out all the stops trying to convince America that their opponents are lying through their teeth.

Beyond that issue, Hunter Biden has been fighting criminal charges in two different federal courts, one set in the Central District of California (in the Ninth Circuit) and the other in the District of Delaware (in the Third Circuit). The East Coast jury has now rendered their verdict so his battle there will likely move up to the appellate courts.

All Counts

The Delaware case found Hunter Biden defending himself against three charges regarding the 2018 purchase of a handgun (revolver):

  • Making “a false statement” in his effort to purchase the gun on the United States Department of Justice’s “firearms transaction report.”
  • Making “a false statement with respect to information required to be kept in records.”
  • Possessing said revolver file under disability as “an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance.”

The jury found Hunter Biden guilty of all three counts which means he could face a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison and fines of up to $750,000. However, many experts believe that if any jail time is handed down by Judge Maryellen Noreika at all it will be significantly less than that.

Judge Noreika was appointed to the bench by Trump, and the Left-leaning news site POLITICO claims that she tends to be tough on those who appear before her. Should she decide to drop the proverbial hammer on Hunter Biden’s head, she and the rest of the world should brace for Democrats and Liberal pundits to cry foul and accuse her of political bias.

After the verdict was announced, President Biden released a statement saying, “I am the President, but I am also a Dad. I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today…I will accept the outcome of this case and will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal.”

Next Up

In California, Hunter Biden was indicted on six misdemeanors (failure to file his tax returns and pay taxes due) and three felony counts (two for filing false returns and one for tax evasion). The indictment says his alleged crimes took place while he “served on the board of a Ukrainian industrial conglomerate [Burisma] and a Chinese private equity fund [Bohai Harvest RST LLC (BHR)],” and raked in millions of dollars for his work.

This trial could also focus on the emails that were found on Hunter Biden’s laptop hard drive, which were first exposed by the New York Post in an October 2020 bombshell report. Liberals circled the wagons at that time to protect Joe Biden from any splashback and labeled it Russian misinformation, including a letter signed by 51 former intelligence officials, which the world now knows was a lie.

The laptop was entered into evidence in the Delaware trial by the Department of Justice which now means it is presumed to be true and accurate. Unless either the Third Circuit Court of Appeals or Supreme Court of the United States overturned its admissibility, Hunter Biden’s greed and the politically motivated attempts to debunk its accuracy could become an arrow in the quiver of the Republicans as it moves closer to November.
