(RightWing.org) – Iran’s recent attack on Israel is raising alarm bells about the potential for the conflict to escalate into a region-wide war in the Middle East and beyond. Conservatives have aired their concerns that President Joe Biden might support or involve US troops in an Israeli counterattack inside Iran. However, this isn’t the first time politicians have debated American foreign policy concerning the terrorist state, and the potential culprits haven’t been confined to Democrats.
Earlier this year, Alex Jones’ InfoWars website reported that a couple of RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) have all but called for the initiation of World War III. On January 28, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) posted a seven-part response on his X/Twitter account to a Fox News report that three American troops and at least 25 other US personnel sustained injuries during a drone attack on a military outpost near Jordan’s northeastern border with Syria.
When the Biden Administration says ‘don’t’, the Iranians ‘do’. The Biden Administration’s rhetoric is falling on deaf ears in Iran. https://t.co/A5MwLWBsSj

Graham lashed out at the failure of the Biden administration’s “policy of deterrence” against Iran. He explained that there had been over 100 attacks against US military personnel in the region during the last few months.
Stunningly, Graham called on the White House to order strikes on “targets of significance inside Iran.” He suggested the attacks would serve two purposes — “reprisal for the killing of [US] forces… [and] as a deterrence against future aggression.”
Graham stressed his belief that the only thing Iran’s rogue regime understands is the use of force, adding that the attacks on US troops won’t end until they pay a price for the destruction of the country’s infrastructure and the death of its military personnel. The South Carolina senator concluded his rant by writing, “Hit Iran now. Hit them hard.”

Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) posted a brief statement on his X/Twitter account earlier that day in response to a CNN article reporting on the deadly attack on US troops in Jordan. He appeared to support Graham’s approach, writing “Target Tehran.”
So far, the White House appears to oppose having any US troops engage directly in any military actions in Iran should Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu decide to launch a retaliatory strike against the terrorist state.
