200+ Drones and Rockets Launched by Hezbollah

(RightWing.org) – Since the Hamas terrorist group invaded Israel from the Gaza Strip and engaged in a rampage of rape, murder, and kidnapping of unarmed civilians including children on October 7, 2023, the Jewish state has found itself under attack by several Islamist organizations.

Other proxy armies funded and supplied by the Islamic Republic of Iran — which also launched a historic salvo of missiles and drones from within their borders — including the Houthis in Yemen and Hezbollah in Lebanon have joined in the offensive against the country they have dubbed “Little Satan.”

Ramping Up Tensions

Shortly after the initial incursion, Hezbollah started lobbing missiles, rockets, and drones over their shared border and the Israel Defense Force (IDF) responded in kind. When a targeted strike killed Muhammad Nimah Nasser (a.k.a. Hajj Abu Nimah) the terrorists responded with a large barrage of weapons which they say was targeting military outposts.

Hezbollah’s leadership took responsibility for the retaliatory strike through their sponsor country’s official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and claimed that Nassar was the second assassination of the week, proclaiming that they would continue fighting even in the face of an “Israeli assassination drive.” The IDF issued a press release that included a prominent picture declaring that this high-ranking terrorist who has been a part of numerous attacks on civilian communities since 2016 has been “eliminated.”

The international community has, by and large, seemingly ignored this whole incident and comments from Western leaders appeared to be nonexistent. Perhaps because they have been working throughout this period of war to provide tepid support to Israel while trying to push for a two-state solution that they know is completely unacceptable to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the majority of the Knesset.

The White House website for example has a statement attributed to the Group of Seven (G7) supporting a cease-fire in Gaza and a firm commitment that it must be “a two State [sic] solution.” Meanwhile, self-avowed Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) single-handedly shot down a measure introduced by Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) that would have had their chamber officially condemned the anti-Semitism seen in the pro-Palestinian protests that overtook college campuses towards the end of the spring semester.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) Scottish-born Prosecutor Karim A. A. Khan — who adheres to the Islamic faith — announced his intent to seek arrest warrants for Netanyahu for the war in Gaza. The United States is not a member of the organization, but to his credit, Biden had petitioned the United Kingdom (UK) to make all efforts to block the initiative.

However, the recent UK elections have flipped Parliament and the Labour Party now has the majority of seats. While they were the opposition, they fought against the Conservative Party’s attempts to stop Khan. It appears that the British Liberals are pressuring the new government to stand up to the United States and cave-in to the ICC to allow the outlandish idea of arresting and trying the head of state of a sovereign nation.
